Food and drinks from local vendors. Face painting. Arts and crafts. Games for younger children and older ones. Bring the whole family and take your time. Free entry, no booking needed.
THE CHILDREN'S MARKET
At the centre of it all, Young Founders House children will be running their own stalls, selling products they have designed, costed, and built themselves over the past term, each one funded by a startup loan from their parents. Through the club they learn how money actually works: how salaries and tax work, what banks do, how loans and interest work, and what it means to save and invest. The market is where they put it into practice, running a real stall with real money. This is what the programme has been leading to. Come and see what they have made.
SELL AT THE MARKET
We have three stalls available for children outside Young Founders House. Open to ages 7 to 14. Stalls are £25 each and allocated by application only. Your child will need a clear product idea to apply. We confirm every application within two working days.
DRAGON'S DEN CORNER
If your child has a business idea but nothing to sell yet, bring them along. Our Dragon's Den corner gives them five minutes to pitch their idea to a friendly panel and hear real feedback. No preparation needed. Just a conversation about what they would like to build, and a possible route into the next market.

Questions parents ask
What is it?
A real market run by children, held 4 times a year, one each season, trading 12 to 3pm on Sundays at Patch in Twickenham. Young founders sell what they have made or chosen, to real customers, and keep their profit.
When are the markets?
September, December, March and June, with each date announced ahead on this page and in the newsletter.
Can my child have a stall without being in the club?
Yes. Any child can apply for a stall for £25 through the market page. Club members trade free at every market.
What does my child need to bring?
Their products, a float of change, and a sign. There is help with pricing beforehand, and a free profit calculator at money.configuracademy.com for working out the day's takings afterwards.
Do I stay with my child?
Yes, a parent or carer stays and supervises throughout. It is a firm rule with no exceptions.
What time should we arrive?
Arrive by 11:30 to set up, trading runs 12 to 3pm, and children are usually packed away by 3:30.

The first market of the new school year. Live music, hot drinks, and the founders back behind their stalls with everything they have been making over the summer. A good Sunday out at the start of term.

Carols, hot chocolate and a visit from Father Christmas. Every stall is stocked with things the children have made and priced themselves, so this year the presents come with a story. Bring your list.

2 weeks before Easter. An egg hunt for younger brothers and sisters, and the founders' new spring lines on the stalls. Everyone welcome.

The last market of the school year. Games, ice cream and bunting, and the founders selling right down to the last item before the summer break.
